Don't nip me:
Bear ‘Bromance’ Blossoms
The Highland Wildlife Park’s resident polar bear boys, Walker and Arktos, have now moved in together full time into their large five acre bachelor pad in the Scottish Highlands. And the two best buddies are now so close, that keepers regularly spot the two bear sleeping nose to nose.
After meeting for the first time in early April, the polar pair quickly formed a strong bond, chasing, wrestling, swimming and eating together all day long.
Arktos was missing Walker at night, whining and trying to get into the main enclosure to be with him. A great indicator for us that the bears were ready to take the next step, we let them move in together permanently into the main enclosure. Both have been together ever since!
